As long as I could remember the rule was no Christmas decorations would go up till after my birthday(12-4). This was something my mom was so serious about. Mom's birthday was only two days after Christmas..... because of that, her birthday was celebrated with Christmas...ALWAYS!!!That is why the rule was made.... Well, this year I broke the rule, with so much going on the next couple of weeks, I had to put up my decorations this weekend.
Feeling a little guilty breaking the rule...It was exciting to be able to put up our BIG tree this year....although, I forgot how much work it was....I'm glad it's done. Lights are up outside, the other Christmas decorations out and up..... YAY!!!
