To end our Christmas Vacation with the kids and grand babies, after returning from Disneyland we headed up North to Williams to ride "The Polar Express." Williams Grand Canyon Railway sponsor this every winter....What an amazing experience for the children!!!
We started our caravan up to Williams around 12:00 noon, we should arrive in Williams around 3:00..... The train was to depart at 6:30, so this gave us some time to spend at the train depot and take part in some of the activities they offered.....
Gampa , making sure he didn't get cold, the forecast for the low was around 11 degrees.....
brrrr cold!!
We took the Flagstaff route to Williams....I got some amazing picture's of the snow and surrounding forest.... This picture is of San Francisco Peaks....BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Entering into Flagstaff.... Love seeing white every where!!!
It took about another 30 minutes, before we arrived in Williams for the BIG event!!!!
(it was soooo cold.....brrr)
Christmas came a little early for Telsea, Brylee and Landon..... it seemed appropriate, since they were going to see Santa at the North Pole...
The girls modeling their new boots.....they looked so cute with all the beanies, scarfs and gloves!!! Now they were ready for the North Pole.....
We met up with Mike's sister Mary and had some pizza.....Mary has lived in Williams with her family for several years now. It was great seeing her!!!
Some of Williams Christmas decorations around town...
It was time to head over to Grand Canyon Railway. The Polar Express was to arrive soon...we were all getting so excited to go to the North Pole and see Santa!!
This train was not in use...It was such a beautiful engine. For one's of you that don't know, Mike is an engineer for Union Pacific Railroad, so we have a soft spot for trains....
Inside the train depot....we had to take some pictures in front of the tree.

After standing out in the cold, waiting to board we finally got on the train....
Then we were off.... Brylee was so excited!!!! Brylee lives in hearing distance of trains, when they pass through town they blow their horn.... she stops whatever she is doing and say's "Hi Papa".....they just blew the horn before leaving this night...
Once the train started it's travels to the North Pole and the safety instruction were given, it was time for cookies and hot cocoa...
(mmm..... good!!)
Then they read the story, "The Polar Express" while we traveled to the North Pole....While reading the story they walked around showing the picture's from book.... very cute!!
By the time the story was over we had almost arrived to the North Pole... It was so cold that night, the windows kept frosting and freezing. They handed out baby wipes to try to clean off the frost.... it didn't work so well. This picture was the best I could get of the North Pole.....
The girls sure tried their very best to see it..... We were able to see Santa's house and Santa standing by his sleigh waving as we went by.....
Then all of a sudden we hear from the back of the train... Ho, Ho, Ho!!!
Telsea was so excited waiting for Santa to get up to her....

Landon wasn't quite sure what was going on....but whatever it is, he is always smiling...

Then it was time to sing some Christmas songs....Jingle Bells, Here Comes Santa Claus and the Twelve Days of Christmas, were a few of the songs we sang....
