JUST A CRUISIN.........

Mike and I went on our first cruise, Carnival Paradise heading to Ensenada Mexico we had a fabulous time...... The first couple of day's I was little green actually a lot green, by the third day I was feeling better. We had a couple that we had dinner with every night that shared with me about a nausea pill called Bonine, it doesn't cause drowsiness like Dramamine....It will be on the top of my list to pack next time!!!!!

The Ship was HUGE.....

Getting ready to board the ship.....It was cold, windy and I was freezing.

The main entrance....It was BEAUTIFUL!!!
The piano was playing the whole time....I love the piano.

Mike stopping so I could take a picture before heading down the staircase....
We took the stairs everywhere, the elevators were off limit(per Mike)... any exercise helped.

Where's Chris....there she is, way up there. Mike wanted me to go up a floor or two to take my picture.... remember me saying we took the stairs every where, this was no different!! So off I went, I first went to far up and had to come back down a floor...LOL

After checking our room out we headed out to the deck....

The pool, spa and slide on the main deck...

We boarded the ship around 12:30 or so, but we didn't start sailing till around 5:30...We had some time to look around the surrounding area of the ship....this is The Queen Mary that is docked next to our ship, she is a museum now. This is were you check in before boarding your cruise...

While "cruising" around the ship look what we came upon......Dancing with the Stars couple, Adian and Edyta. If you watched DWTS this past Monday night you would have seen a clip with them filming on the ship. The attention has to get old...the women were so goofy with him. They were so very nice and pleasant the whole time.... he is very handsome in person and she is very, very tiny!!!

While Adian was being interviewed in the back ground, can you see him bent over?? I got my picture taken with Edyta for Telsea, she watch's DWTS every week!!! I heard they didn't make it through this week...to bad!!

Mike in front of Mexico's flag...we were waiting to dis embark for our Winery excursion...

The first Winery we went to was a small Ma & Pa business..... They were so nice, they had 4 different wines for us to sample along with cheese, jalapeno bread and some YUMMY, YUMMY pizza!!

The second Winery was the BIG one.....
The picture's below are of the vineyard, it was AMAZING and huge, it went on forever!!!

Mike and I standing in front of the bullring....
they have bullfighting during harvest time.

Here is where they crush the grapes with their feet...the platform is made of pavers.

The building where they keep the barrels while the wine is being aged....

Barrels dated 2005-2007 going through the aging process....

Mike and the group during the wine tasting..... what a great experience!!!

After the wine tasting, it was back on the ship for some relaxing time.....

Our lil' friend Pedro.....

The cruise offered a lot of "Fun" entertainment.....they had a couple of shows that were fantastic,(Vegas quality) a couple of comedians that were rated "R"(no kids allowed)!!! An Art Auction with some amazing paintings.......We didn't buy anything but we did enjoy our selves.
Something we will look into her at home!!

If you have been on a cruise, you have had a few friends waiting for you when returning to your room each night.... here are a few of our friends.

Our lil' pooch with Mike's sunglasses....The lil' monkey sitting in the corner
and the last night a sweet heart...

The crew was so talented.....When they brought you a drink they would have the straw in the glass with the straw paper in the end with something cute created....this one had a flower on it, not a great picture, but it was so cute.

The food was AMAZING.....The crew was OUTSTANDING....
The Cruisin life a MUST (with Bonine)!!!!
Looking forward to the next one.

  1. How fun! That stinks you were sick, Cj was sick on his cruise to Mexico. It has me worried for ours in the Fall. I went on a whale watch in Seattle once and was SO sick, so I hope I will be okay for ours.:( How cool to have seen the DWTS couple, we LOVE that show!
