WHAT DOES GRAMPA DO WHEN HE'S NOT AROUND FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS....

For almost 2 years Mike has been on the Reserve Board with Union Pacific Railroad.....what does that mean to the grand babies... Well Telsea was a little over 2 years old when she started seeing Grampa all the time....For Brylee she can't remember when Grampa wasn't around and for Landon, Grampa has been around since day one..... So when they see Gigi they are looking for Grampa to be right behind her .....that has not been the case for the past month.

So what does Grampa do when he's not around for a couple of days......

He drive's a train that look's like this....

and this is what he get's to look at for about 12 hours.....

Grampa is responsible for a lot when he is driving the train..... the trains are very large and carry some very important supplies and dangerous chemicals on them.
The average speed is around 70 miles....

He is responsible for keeping the train on the track and running smoothly to the next state.... below are some of the engine panels that Grampa has to keep under control... He has button's and brakes and speed controls panels that he keeps an eye on while he is driving the train.

doesn't look to exciting to me!!!

this is called the "Yard".... It's where Grampa pulls the train into when he delivers the supplies that he has picked up from one state and delivers to another state.

AND this is what get's him through those looong hours at night when driving the train.....

His BEAUTIFUL grand babies,
making silly faces with them....

Or having them beating and looking under the bathroom door till he comes out.....

So next time you don't see Grampa with Gigi you now know what he's doing!!!!
