It was Wednesday morning and the phone rings at 8:00am, it was Rachelle. Normally on Wednesday I don't hear from her until either she is driving to work or after she is finished with her day and she is driving home. So to see her name come up on the caller ID concerned me a little and especially that early in the morning..... When I picked up the phone she asked if I could come sit with Landon while she took Telsea to see the Pediatrician. Telsea had woke up around 7:00am that morning crying saying she couldn't breath and was whizzing....... From that moment on it was a blur. Rachelle came home with her around 10:00 with all kinds of meds. The office had given Telsea a breathing treatment there and told Rachelle in 4 hours to give her the inhaler and so forth. By the time 10:15 rolled around Telsea was having difficulty breathing again, so she called the doctors office they said it was okay to give her the inhaler BUT if she would need it again within the next hour se needed to take her to the hospital. Within about 40 minutes it started up again, this time seemed to be worse, her heart was beating out of her chest, she was looking pasty, all she wanted to do is sleep. Her chest and stomach was working so hard to breath, Rachelle put her in the car and took her up the street to the Urgent Care. When she got there they put her on oxygen immediately because her levels were so low and gave her two breathing treatment to get her stable enough for Rachelle to be able to take her onto the hospital. The called ahead to Mendy's ER for Pediatrics...this place was AMAZING. They took such great care of our little baby girl and never left her side until she was out of danger!!!!!
Arriving to Mendy's ER.....
Her first IV...they only poked her once, got all the vials of blood that was needed, but it wouldn't flush....so out it came and they had to poke her again....
This time they had to poke her on top of her hand....
poor baby it hurt so bad, BUT she did so well!!!
The doctor came in and gave us the results....it was pneumonia. So she would have to stay over night for sure and see how it goes from there.
They did their job and cheered up our little baby girl, she loves dogs!!!!!
Then it was time to be move up to her room where she would be staying for a couple of nights.....
The Kids Zone Wing of the hospital.....
"Is this really happening?"
And this is what she looked like the next morning..... instead of Telsea wearing the oxygen, daddy had it on. No more oxygen for Telsea!!!!
Her new doggy I brought her the next morning, she hasn't decided what to name her yet. Mommy and Gigi thinks she should call her Mendy???
She was doing so well , she was able to go play in the playroom.
Here is Telsea with her favorite nurse Angie....heading off to the playroom.
